Position Summary
As a member of an innovative and dynamic sales team, the Senior Technical Sales Representative is responsible for assisting in building the market position for Advanced Completions Technology Services Ltd. (“ACTS” or the “company”). By locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing sales in business relationships, the Senior Technical Sales Representative will assist in expanding ACTS market footprint. The Senior Technical Sales Representative works closely with the sales team, other internal ACTS staff, and external customers to drive sales volume and growth as an integral part of the business execution strategy. In conjunction with the President and other members of management, the Senior Technical Sales Representative will assist in maximizing client relationship value for ACTS.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand financial goals and expectations of company, and meet and/or exceed assigned sales and customer objectives
- Plan, develop and implement sales strategies to lead negotiations that are consistent with internal strategy while, at the same time, reflective of customer requirements and competitive offerings
- Assemble and present information for product installation offerings
- Identify and pursue potential customers to drive and support strategic growth objectives
- Analyze customer needs and secure desirable business through application of company products and services
- Source, analyze, communicate and apply competitor data for competitive advantage to company, and provide recommendations for market target pricing
- Assist in leading the ACTS sales team and coordinating with the rest of the ACTS team to ensure a positive workplace, alignment and engagement of ACTS workers, and excellent sales performance
- Support and assist in growing a positive culture within ACTS by modelling ACTS policies and practices and contributing to the continuous improvement of the ACTS organization
- Identify and develop strategies for developing new business and achieving ACTS sales goals
- Assist in setting the strategic and business development growth plans for ACTS in partnership with the President and other leadership team members
- Coordinate requirements necessary for new business deals: developing and negotiating contracts as well as integrating contract requirements with ACTS field and service operations
- Provide leadership by supporting ACTS commitment to health, safety and environment (HSE) responsibility along with social and community responsibility that protect ACTS reputation
- Assist in recruiting, training, developing, and mentoring the sales team in support of a successful sales function
- Assist in developing and implementing sales based incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve their sales targets
- Maintain reports and analysis of sales pipeline, activities, and closed business transactions
- Monitor customer, market, competitor activity and provide feedback to ACTS leadership team members

Required Skills and Abilities
- Degree/Diploma in Engineering, Business or comparable field
- Expertise in sales forecasting and budgeting
- 10+ years of oil field services sales and/or related experience and strong knowledge of oilfield service and completions technical requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills, desire, and ability to work collaboratively in a positive team environment
- Effective communication skills in each of verbal and written format, both with internal colleagues and external stakeholders
- Proven leadership skills to coach, develop, and mentor others to ensure a clear line of sight between individual’s job duties and organizational objectives
- Excellent management skills to ensure practices, processes, and reporting are timely and effectively achieve
